Meghan Trainor has once again addressed claims linking her to the so-called “toxic” mom group discussed in a viral personal essay by Ashley Tisdale French, insisting she had no role in the alleged fallout. Meghan Trainor Denies Role in ‘Toxic’ Mom Group Drama

The 32-year-old singer shared a TikTok video on January 12, using audio from Stranger Things, humorously portraying herself as someone struggling to be believed. Overlaying the clip, Trainor wrote that she was still trying to convince people she was not involved in the mom group drama, adding in the caption, “I swear I’m innocent.”

The video follows earlier comments from Trainor after Tisdale French’s essay for The Cut sparked widespread discussion online. In that piece, Tisdale French reflected on her decision to leave a mom group she described as emotionally draining, while keeping the identities of the women involved anonymous. Despite this, speculation quickly spread across social media about the group’s possible members.

Trainor previously responded to the situation on January 8 with a lighthearted TikTok showing her reaction to learning about the controversy. In the clip, she appeared surprised while sitting at her computer, with the video soundtracked by her upcoming single “Still Don’t Care.” The post suggested she was learning about the drama at the same time as the public.

The singer’s husband, Daryl Sabara, has also weighed in. Speaking to TMZ, he dismissed rumors of any conflict between his wife and Tisdale French. Sabara said there was “no drama” on their end and stressed that their focus remains on raising their two children.

He added that he hopes Tisdale French is doing well after sharing her personal story, noting that he does not have detailed knowledge of the situation. His comments echoed Trainor’s position that she is not part of any ongoing dispute.

In her essay, Tisdale French framed her experience as a broader lesson about friendships and personal boundaries. She wrote that stepping away from relationships that no longer feel healthy can be empowering and reminded readers that friendships, like other relationships, can change over time.

Trainor’s latest response appears aimed at putting distance between herself and the speculation, as online discussion around the essay and the alleged mom group continues.
