Ibrahim Ali Khan Reflects on Family Comparisons and Faces the Spotlight with Upcoming Films
Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of Bollywood veterans Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, is stepping into the limelight with his acting debut—and he’s doing so with full awareness of the weight his last name carries.
In a candid interview with GQ India, Ibrahim shared a humorous and heartfelt anecdote. He revealed that during arguments, his mother often tells him, “You remind me of Saif”, comparing his demeanor and responses to those of his father in his younger years. “I just go blank when she says that,” Ibrahim laughed.
Saif and Amrita: A Glimpse Into the Past
Saif and Amrita Singh were one of Bollywood’s most talked-about couples in the 1990s. They married in 1991 when Saif was 21 and Amrita was 33. Their marriage lasted 13 years, during which they had two children—Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim. After their separation in 2004, Saif later married actress Kareena Kapoor in 2012, and they now have two sons, Taimur and Jehangir.
Ready for the Big Screen: Ibrahim’s Upcoming Projects
Ibrahim Ali Khan is all set to make his debut in ‘Nadaaniyan’, co-starring Khushi Kapoor, daughter of late Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. He acknowledged the challenges of entering Bollywood as a star kid, saying:
“Nepotism has always existed, but today’s scrutiny is harsher. I was prepared for it but didn’t expect it to hit so hard.”
Next up, he stars in ‘Diler’, a sports drama with South Indian actress Sreeleela, followed by ‘Sarzameen’, where he will appear alongside Kajol, under the direction of Kayoze Irani.
Fans Buzzing Over His Striking Resemblance to Saif
From his facial features to his mannerisms, many have noted Ibrahim’s uncanny resemblance to his father. Social media has been abuzz, especially after his Johnny Depp-inspired photoshoot, which went viral earlier this year.
With legacy, good looks, and now the opportunity, Ibrahim is set to embark on a path well-tread by his iconic parents—but one he must make his own.
