According to a report by PeepingMoon, Shraddha was in talks to headline the untitled film directed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for his acclaimed work on Tumbbad. However, discussions reportedly hit a wall after the actress allegedly demanded Rs 17 crore plus a share in the profits — a figure that producers deemed too high for the project’s budget.
Sources say that Ekta Kapoor, a seasoned producer known for balancing content and commercial viability, felt that Shraddha’s pricing could jeopardize the financial structure of the film. As a result, the actress decided to walk away from the project.
