Mission Impossible Korean box office dominance continued over the weekend as Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt remained in the top spot. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning added $5 million from 688,160 admissions across 2,150 screens, accounting for 64.65% of total box office revenue in Korea, according to KOFIC’s Kobis tracking system.

The film’s cumulative total now stands at $13.4 million with over 1.84 million admissions since its May 17 release. Its strong hold reflects both franchise loyalty and strong word-of-mouth.

Disney’s Lilo & Stitch debuted in second place, earning $1.1 million from 157,480 admissions across 1,034 screens. Since its May 21 release, the family-friendly title has brought in $1.3 million in Korea.

South Korean crime drama Yadang: The Snitch held firm in third, pulling in $450,067 with 61,940 new admissions. Since its April release, it has grossed over $23 million from more than 3.32 million tickets sold — a strong showing for a domestic film.

A Minecraft Movie ranked fourth with $178,899 and 26,250 admissions, pushing its total to $9.2 million and over 1.34 million admissions in Korea. Its consistent performance shows the continued pull of gaming-based content.

South Korea’s own The Old Woman With the Knife placed fifth, earning $142,121 this weekend. Its total now stands at $3.7 million with 532,000+ admissions.

Political documentary Election Fraud: Act of God? debuted in sixth, drawing $107,737 and 15,823 admissions from 140 screens. Since opening on May 21, it has reached $152,182, driven by public interest in its controversial subject matter.

In seventh, horror sequel Final Destination Bloodlines brought in $95,933, taking its cumulative gross to $516,929 with 70,307 total admissions.

Marvel’s Thunderbolts* slipped to eighth, earning $91,758 from 12,515 admissions, with a current total of $6.7 million in Korea.

Japanese romantic drama My Beloved Stranger debuted in ninth with $80,836 and 11,822 admissions from 212 screens, reflecting steady interest in regional cinema.

Finally, Attack on Titan The Movie: The Last Attack took the tenth spot, grossing $89,124 this weekend. Its cumulative total rose to $6.6 million, backed by 884,000+ admissions since launch.

Altogether, the top 10 films generated over $8.4 million, just slightly below last week’s total. With a solid mix of major franchises and popular local titles, the Korean box office maintained momentum heading into the final stretch of May.
