This week is loaded with excitement for entertainment fans. The release of the John Wick spinoff, the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, and the debut Addison Rae album headline a dynamic seven days across film, gaming, and music.

Ballerina: A New Chapter in the John Wick Universe

On Friday, Ballerina lands in theaters as the latest installment of the John Wick saga. The film follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas), a ballerina-turned-assassin seeking truth about her family’s past. The plot takes place during John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.

Director Len Wiseman described Eve’s journey as the opposite of John Wick’s. “Wick wants out; Eve wants in—she wants to become a killer,” he explained.

Keanu Reeves returns as John Wick, although briefly. He told The Hollywood Reporter that he spent just eight days on set. “It was fun to revisit the role. The film stays true to the Wick spirit while introducing new characters,” he said.

Nintendo Switch 2 Launches Globally

Gamers everywhere have circled Thursday on their calendars. That’s when the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 officially hits stores.

The new console builds on the original’s success, offering a brighter screen and much more processing power. One standout upgrade is its ability to mimic a mouse by rotating the controller sideways. This makes PC-style games like Civilization VII easier to play.

Still, power has a price. Both the hardware and games are more expensive. For example, Mario Kart World costs £74.99. Despite the cost, fans rushed to pre-order. Most retailers sold out within hours, showing strong demand.

Addison Rae Drops Her Debut Album

TikTok megastar Addison Rae, who boasts nearly 90 million followers, steps confidently into the music world with her debut album Addison, dropping Friday.

She co-wrote every song on the record, working with producers across Los Angeles, New York, and Sweden. The sound blends influences from Madonna and Charli XCX, delivering a nostalgic yet futuristic pop feel.

Rae already released five tracks from the album, including the hit Diet Pepsi. The song broke into the UK Top 10 last year and marked her official music breakthrough.

Critics expect “hypnotic, trance-like pop” that makes fans feel “young, fun, and free,” according to Rolling Stone writer Brittany Spanos.
