Filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has reassured fans with a fresh Jee Le Zaraa update, confirming that the long-awaited road-trip drama is still in the works and has not been shelved.
Originally announced in 2021 with Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif as leads, the project has faced repeated delays due to scheduling conflicts. In a recent interview, Farhan admitted the film is on the “back burner” but promised it will eventually happen.
Cast Uncertainty in Jee Le Zaraa Update
Farhan revealed that location scouting and music recordings are already complete. However, he declined to confirm whether the original cast remains attached, leaving room for speculation about potential changes.
Alia Bhatt had earlier acknowledged the scheduling challenges, but stressed that the intent to make the film remains strong among all involved.
Jee Le Update and Farhan’s Current Work
The Jee Le Zaraa update comes as Farhan awaits the release of his new directorial, 120 Bahadur, based on the heroic 1962 Rezang La battle. The film stars Raashii Khanna, Vivian Bhatena, and Eija Khan, and is scheduled for release on November 21, 2025.
For now, fans of Bollywood’s buddy-road genre remain hopeful that Jee Le Zaraa will eventually hit the big screen, even if the casting lineup evolves.
